Z Cordero, LcSW

Founder & Clinical director

I offer a grounded, relational space for meaningful growth, emotional healing, and deeper self-understanding. My work is trauma-informed, relational-cultural, and rooted in the belief that therapy should feel human, honest, and useful. I show up as myself in the room. I am expressive, engaged, and willing to balance deep validation with compassionate accountability.

I support adults, couples, and families navigating personal growth, relationship patterns, life transitions, anxiety, executive functioning, professional development, identity, and perinatal mental health. My work has been shaped by experience in schools, community programs, private practice, full-spectrum doula work, and clinical supervision. I also provide ESA assessments and gender-affirming documentation with compassion and clinical integrity, supporting access without unnecessary gatekeeping.

My Approach

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and reflective, while still being practical and goal-oriented. I care about the full context of your life, including your relationships, culture, history, stressors, strengths, and the patterns you may be ready to shift.

Therapy with me is not passive. We may explore your past, your relationships, your emotional patterns, and the ways you have learned to survive, while also naming what needs to change in the present. I integrate reflection, clinical insight, and measurable tools when helpful so that progress can be felt in daily life and understood over time.

Who I work with

I work with individuals, couples, and families who want therapy to be both reflective and practical. Many of my clients are navigating career shifts, relationship challenges, family transitions, anxiety, burnout, executive functioning challenges, identity exploration, and the desire to feel more grounded and connected. What often brings them together is a desire for a space that honors the full context of their lives while offering clear, actionable steps toward change.

I enjoy working with growth-minded clients who are open to doing the work, willing to reflect honestly, and ready to build a more grounded and intentional life.

I am currently in network with Aetna, Cigna, Anthem BCBS, and UnitedHealthcare, and I can also provide out-of-network superbills when applicable.
